Five.

Five years ago on October 1st, I gave birth to my daughter, Ava. All she wanted was a Katy Perry party (California Girls is her JAM, y'all!), but it eventually just morphed into a bright colored-chevron printed-candy party. Here are some of the pictures from her big day, unedited.

Happy birthday, my sweet baby girl.

Ava & my niece, Gia (We had a makeshift photo station with different glasses)

Drink placecards

Newest obsession: paper straws

Felt flowers from $1 section at Target, 'vase' is an old wine gift box.

Candy, candy, & more candy.

This banner reminds me of a lemonade stand.

Some of our good friends in the photo station.

Addy's Auntie Cassie was sneaking her the goods :)

Obviously the plate says it all.

Cupcakes

"So hot we'll melt your popcicle..."

Magic Jack came and put on a show - AWESOME!

Ava with her new pillow pet & balloon crown!

Make a wish!

My sister, Gia & Ava

Me and my whole world.

It's hard to believe that it's been 6 months since our last little Princess, Sawyer, was born. Time sure does fly but then again, I can't remember life without her in it already. She is such a joy and the perfect addition to our family. Anyway, enough of the sappy stuff. I finally got around to taking her 6 month photos. So here they are! Her sister Mallory, of course, had to make an appearance. She loves the camera.

An evening with M & R. . .

Last week Mellie & I got to take some beautiful mother / son photos of my old friend Meghann and her silly goose of a son, Ryan. We had so much fun watching them laugh and smile together -- it really came together seamlessly. Here's some of our favorites from the day! Enjoy!

I had the pleasure of shooting my little nephew Colton this past week. Here are a few pictures from our shoot.

What Happens In Las Vegas...

...comes home in the form of four grumpy kids. We just got back from vacation. And when asked where we are going and we reply Las Vegas, we almost immediately get a funny look and hear "with kids?". Yes, with kids. to most peoples surprise, there is a ton of stuff to do that is family oriented. We just follow one rule: No kids out after dark (for obvious reasons). It was definitely nice to get away, but I was reminded how much work a vacation is with all the kids. You need a vacation just to recover from your vacation. We had a great time though. We saw sharks, dolphins, tigers, and so on. The kids loved every minute. I thought I'd share some pictures of our trip in our first official blog post.

Enjoying the pool on our first day

If you know my husband, you know the importance of this picture haha.
 All Jelly Belly's

The dolphin was trying to escape.
 This little baby loved us.

See you in two years Vegas!
